what writing is like

This is what it’s like to have someone ask you about a novel you’re working on that you’ve been writing for a while. No really. This is really what it’s like.

Sometimes, you just have to laugh at yourself. At your lack of progress. At your goals and dreams. Not in a bad way. Not because your dreams won’t be met or because your goal of writing the next great American novel are too lofty. Rather, because levity is what will keep you sane.

And because Stewie is hilarious. I mean, seriously, he’s a baby. Baby’s don’t ask about novels.

Not a terribly deep “on writing” post, but they don’t all have to be deep. Enjoy your Tuesday.

Thank you. That is all.
